As with most people, my love for making stuff began as a child. I spent my formative years crafting and camping in Boy Scouts, making music in bands, and spending as much time in my high school printing and design classes as I possibly could.
I then studied Graphic Design at Detroit's College for Creative Studies, and later completed my education at Madonna University with a BFA in Graphic Design. I've spent my fair share of time in print shops, designing websites, and, for the past 3 years, designing magazines.
In 2014, I joined Premier Media Group as the designer for the new magazine, 425 Business, that they were launching. Since then I've been promoted to Lead Designer for the magazine, where I'm fully responsible for overseeing and designing covers, page layouts, illustration, and art direction on special projects.
I employ a clean, concise style to ensure the message is being delivered clearly and with a punch. I recognize the importance of thinking outside the box and always aim to push the boundaries of traditional design while making use of techniques old and new to create original and impactful pieces.
I spend every day of my life making things; from page design for the magazine or assisting in marketing design, to hand crafting leather goods in my side business. I make because I have a passion to create, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
